A Crux of mismatched colors, Mismatch was created by Crux scientists eager to bring new creatures into existence. These Crux scientists often experimented with their own DNA to create new specimens, and Mismatch was one of their results. Drawing DNA from both the Pyr and the Chloros Crux, Mismatch was born.

Satisfied with their first experiment, the scientists quickly dismissed Mismatch, not telling him who he was or why he was made. The Crux left the facility, taking on the name "Mismatch" due to his strange coloration.

His personality was one of both curiousity and thrill-seeking, taking on aspects of both the Chloros and Pyr types. Mismatch found that the places he enjoyed the most were crowded parties and other loud, fun-filled areas. Though other people at first didn't like him (finding him to be scary and gross), he found friends in other Crux and animals.

Mismatch can often be seen toting around a cross-shaped electric guitar. He enjoys attention and will often go out of his way to get it. Though he's very goofy and doesn't take himself that seriously, if his friends are in danger or insulted, he'll quickly show his Pyr Nature and defend them, often becoming quite dangerous. If there's anything he doesn't like, it's seeing his friends harmed or insulted.
